Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MacroPath AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use MacroPath AI.
Service Description
MacroPath AI is an AI-powered nutrition tracking application that provides:
- Meal logging via voice commands, text input, and photo analysis
- Automatic macro and calorie calculation using AI
- Nutrition goal setting and daily progress tracking
- Meal history, favorites, and data export
- Subscription-based reward system with tier-based discounts
Account Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use MacroPath AI
- You must have a valid Apple ID (Sign in with Apple is required)
- One user per account — account sharing is prohibited
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
Subscription & Payment
- New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access (including 20 photo analyses)
- After the trial, a paid subscription is required to log meals
- Monthly subscription: auto-renews each month
- Annual subscription: auto-renews each year
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- All subscriptions are managed through Apple In-App Purchase
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy — MacroPath AI cannot process refunds directly
- Active subscribers can earn tier-based discounts (Gold, Silver, Bronze) through consistent meal tracking
Free Trial
- The 7-day free trial provides full access to all features
- 20 photo analyses are included during the trial period
- If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, meal creation features will be locked
- You can still view your dashboard and historical data after the trial expires
- The trial is available once per Apple ID
Acceptable Use
You agree to use MacroPath AI only for personal nutrition tracking. The following activities are prohibited:
- Account sharing or using the App for commercial purposes
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code
- Bypassing security measures, rate limits, or access controls
- Submitting false, malicious, or harmful data
- Using the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempting to access other users' data
Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: MacroPath AI is NOT medical advice. The App provides nutrition tracking tools and AI-generated estimates only. MacroPath AI is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes. Nutrition data provided by the App (including AI-calculated macros) are estimates and may not be perfectly accurate. Use the App at your own risk. We are not responsible for health outcomes resulting from use of the App.
Intellectual Property
- The MacroPath AI app, source code, design, and branding are owned by MacroPath AI
- You retain full ownership of your personal nutrition data
- Nutrition database sourced from USDA FoodData Central (public domain)
- You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the App's services
Limitation of Liability
MacroPath AI is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any health outcomes, dietary decisions, or nutrition data inaccuracies
- We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or technical errors
- Our total liability is limited to the greater of $100 USD or the total amount you paid to MacroPath AI in the 12 months preceding the claim
Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings (deletion is permanent and irreversible)
- No refunds are provided for unused subscription time upon account deletion
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our data retention policy
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of MacroPath AI shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits. Before initiating arbitration, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting support@macropathai.com.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notification. Your continued use of MacroPath AI after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
